Did you know that America's Cup, a sailing yacht competition, has the oldest international trophy in sports history? The first race took place in 1851 and the trophy itself has a pretty interesting history.
The New York Yacht Club was the first winner and the trophy was renamed to "America's Cup", after the winning yacht. American teams that represented the New York Yacht Club defended the trophy successfully for 132 years! Since an Australian team won in 1983 the Cup has made its way around the globe. In 2017 the 35th competition will take place in Bermuda.
On December 3rd, 2014, thousands of spectators gathered in Bermuda for the arrival of the Cup, also known as the Auld Mug. Those flags they were waving around? C2 Imaging produced them! We also produced the banner stands and step and repeat for the press conference and backdrop for trophy photography. We don't have to be around the corner to produce great graphics and promotional materials for you. C2 Imaging has much experience in kitting, shipping and organizing installation.
